Présentation 

Petite nébuleuse par réflexion située au coeur du vaste nuage moléculaire de la constellation du Taureau et éclairée par le rayonnement de l'étoile variable RY Tauri.

VdB 17 est la nébuleuse en haut de l'image située à l'extrémité de la nébuleuse obscure LBN 785. 

A droite du centre de l'image, la plus grosse nébuleuse à réflexion LBN 782 (ou Ced 30) et les nébuleuses obscures Barnard 7 et 10.

Small reflection nebula located in the heart of the vast molecular cloud of the Taurus constellation and illuminated by the radiation of the variable star RY Tauri, a T Tauri star (therefore very young) with a very high rotation speed.VdB 17 is the nebula at the top of the image located at the end of the dark nebula LDN 785.To the right of the center of the image, the largest reflection nebula LBN 782 (or Ced 30) and the dark Barnard nebulae 7 and 10.
